Vigilante

AI-driven C-UAS detection system

VIGILANTE detects unmanned aerial threats at distances up to three times greater than conventional solutions. A passive, AI-assisted system that fuses thermal and visible sensors on a precision pan-and-tilt platform. Designed to operate on fixed bases and vehicles in motion.

Earlier detection than conventional systems

The recognition phase (R) in traditional C-UAS systems requires the drone to reach a visual signature of 11×3 pixels. VIGILANTE initiates that phase from 3.5×1 pixels through behavioural analysis, not signature alone. The outcome: up to 180 seconds of operational response, against the 60 seconds typical in the market.

AI on the Edge

Detection happens on-system, with no dependence on external connectivity. The proprietary algorithm analyses movement patterns: speed, acceleration, trajectory and recognises a drone from a visual signature as small as 2–3 pixels.

Multi-sensor fusion

LWIR, MWIR, HD camera and optional laser rangefinder, synchronised on an in-house pan-and-tilt unit. The system fuses images in real time to maximise classification reliability.

Passive operation

Zero electromagnetic emission. Undetectable by RF systems. Effective against autonomous and fibre-optic guided drones, where radar and RF detection break down.

Mecanus Innovación's industrial architecture is designed to meet the technological sovereignty requirements redefining European public procurement in defence.

100% European Manufacturing

Design, integration and final manufacturing carried out entirely in Spain, backed by the Mecanus Group's industrial capability in Ejea de los Caballeros (Zaragoza): precision machining, laser cutting, welding and surface treatments. Capacity to scale production without extra-EU dependencies in critical processes.

Proprietary IP, Protected as Industrial Secret

Multi-sensor fusion algorithms, pixel-level motion analysis, 360° sky scanning and training datasets are the exclusive property of Mecanus Innovación. The pan-and-tilt unit is our own design. No external technology licence conditions the development or export of our products.

Non-ITAR Critical Chain

Supply chain selected to minimise components subject to extra-European export controls, preserving the system's exportability to NATO allies and European partners. The entire design and manufacturing process is conducted in Spain, free from ITAR restrictions that would limit our commercial reach.

Some components come from trusted international manufacturers. For each, traceability is documented and, where strategic, a European alternative is identified for restriction scenarios.
